Schools are on track to reopen normally in September, and should the epidemic situation necessitate further measures, they will be addressed at the institutional, local or regional level, the Ministry for Human Capacities (EMMI) told Népszava.

Hundreds gathered in Budapest for a march marking Roma Pride Day for the fifth time on Saturday. Participants marched from central Blaha Lujza Square to Nyugati Railway Station, demanding equal opportunities for the Roma community and chanting slogans such as “Solidarity!”, “Democracy, rule of law, republic!”, “We belong here!”.

For years, Concerto Budapest and the Muzsikás Ensemble have been like a long-familiar couple. The guiding principal behind their joint productions has remained constant: to uncover opportunities for and present instances of dialogue between art music, as represented by the sound of a full orchestra, and traditional folk music.

Britannica International School has appointed Richard Vaughan as the new Principal of Britannica International School to succeed Mr Ken Baines who will retire at the end of next month, July 2014. Mr Vaughan will move to Budapest with his wife and two children this Summer.

Péter Garai, Deputy State Secretary for Social Inclusion at the Ministry of Human Resources opened the project in the Pécs Gandhi Secondary School, the purpose of which is to promote the successful advancement of disadvantaged students in secondary school and to encourage the continuation of their studies in higher education.
